"Over many years I've had a varied work history and truly enjoy the students and my work at North River School. I dropped out of Ballard High School in my junior year. Quitting school is never a good option and has life long consequences. I hope my time here I can help prevent such occurrences for North River students and add to a better educational experience for everyone."
James "Jim" Banas is in his 17th year of serving on the board. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Grove City College and served in the U.S. Air Force as an officer and pilot for 20 years before retiring. He then worked as a Safety Engineer for the Department of Defense for 11 years before retirement. Jim has enjoyed substituting. He values students, the school environment, and representing the community taxpayers.
